Information on Lead Based Paint & Asbestos

Lead-Based Paint Renovation, Repair & Painting

The Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rules for Georgia took effect on December 9, 2011. These rules, along with the federal RRP requirements are designed to minimize the spread of lead debris and dust during RRP activities at homes and child-occupied facilities that were built before 1978. This program enforces the states rules concerning RRP rules including: certifying/training renovators and supervisors, dust sampling technicians, renovation companies, conducting education, accrediting training providers and developing technical guidance.
