Mission Statement
The mission of the Morgan County Senior Center is To Provide Services which will Improve the Quality of Life for our Senior Citizens.
At the Center
If you would like to experience the joy of friendship and laughter with your peers, the Senior Center is the place for you. Our Center is not a nursing home. Seniors who utilize our building and programs during the day are self-maintained.
At the Center, you will find a wide variety of activities. From recreation and enrichment classes, seasonal parties, and events, we have something for everyone. We play bingo, computer games, bridge, crazy aces, canasta, dominos, Wii bowling, sing karaoke, check email, surf the net, knit, loom, crochet, One Stroke painting, ceramics, fishing trips, monthly outings, and more.
We also partner with the Recreation Department/Aquatics Center, and the Health Department to provide water aerobics for the senior population. Mandatory paperwork must be filled out and a medical release from your doctor is required to participate. Paperwork is found at the Senior Center, NOT the Aquatics Center.
Hot meals are served Monday - Friday at 12 noon for a very nominal price.
Some of us may move faster than others, but senior adults here are still in the ball game of life! Come to the Morgan County Senior Center! You won't regret it.

Family Ties-Relatives Raising Relative Children Program
Mission Statement
Family Ties, Relatives Raising Relatives Program, provides quality education and support activities to the caregivers of children and youth in out-of-home care, so that these providers may meet the educational, emotional, behavioral and developmental needs of children and youth.
Family Ties is defined as the provision of full-time nurturing and protection of children by adults other than parents who have a family relationship bond with children (Child Welfare League of America, 1994). The group meets the second Monday of each month, with exceptions during the holidays.
Guidelines and eligibility requirements are found here: For more information about Family Ties
