Law Enforcement Explorers

Law Enforcement Exploring is a hands-on program open to men and women who are 14 through 21 years old, interested in a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system.  Many of our former members are now officers here in Morgan County and surrounding areas including, Columbia County, Jasper County, City of Lawrenceville and others.

The program offers young adults a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition and other activities. Additionally, the program promotes personal growth through character development, respect for the rule of law, physical fitness, good citizenship and patriotism.

Our Explorer Post competes every year in the annual Winterfest Competition in Gatlinburg, TN.  We have also competed in the annual conference hosted the the Law Enforcement Explorer Association of Georgia.  We have competed in National Competitions in Flagstaff, AZ and Fort Collins, CO.  Fundraisers are held to help with the cost of attending competitions.

Explorers meet every Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Morgan County Sheriff's Office located at 1380 Monticello Rd. Madison, GA.  The registration fee is $40.
